A quick update…

I have not posted in a while.  I need to get back into because I enjoy doing so.  Just wanted to update you on Eliana.  She is doing well.  Right now she is asleep and I hope she stays that way at least another hour.  I will not hold my breath.  We have started trying to get her on a routine.  Katie has recommended a book called On Becoming Baby Wise by Gary Ezzo.  Craig started reading it yesterday and I am in the process of going through it as well.  I have to be disciplined in this.  You can pray for us as we go through it.

Eliana has started snoring when she sleeps.  She must take after a certain person in this family.  It is funny to hear her.  She mainly does it in the car.  She has also started to lose her hair on the top of her head.  Craig calls her Grandpa.  Even the doctor told her she was an old man.  I think it is funny but I can see parts of it growing back.

We had our first trip this past weekend.  We went to Clemson for the NC State game.  I can say it was HOT.  Over 90 degrees.  I must have been crazy to do it.  Our tickets are in the upper deck.  It is about 10 degrees hotter up there.  She slept all the way to Anderson where we stayed with Katie and Matt.  Thanks to them for letting us stay with them and their two kids, Cameron and Claire.  It was great to see them and be able to enjoy their company.  I wish we could have stayed longer.  Saturday we got up and went to Clemson and met up with some friends.  I put Eliana in the front carrier to go to the game.  I waited until kick off to go in.  Sorry, but I have seen the Tigers run down the hill many times and sung all the songs in pregame.  I can miss this.  We went to our seats to get settled in.  You may know NC State scored within 7 seconds…second play of the game.  I am thinking this is going to be a long hot game.  Clemson score in about the next 5 plays and the touchdown went into review.  That is when I said I am done.  So I was their for about 7 or 8 plays.  Notice I did not say “I saw seven or eight plays”.  I could not tell you much about anything.  I took Eliana down under the stadium and sat on a golf cart with another lady and chatted with her for a long time.  It was nice to have adult conversation and meet someone.  Then I took Eliana and walked around for a little while.  Overall we had a good time.  It was good to see friends that we see only during the football season.
