A week of firsts…
This week has been a week of firsts…
Saturday, October 4, Craig and I celebrated our fifth anniversary. Okay, so not a first. We had our traditional dinner at Regas in Knoxville. Always a good choice and good to enjoy a relaxing nonrushed dinner. On Saturday we also had pictures of Eliana made. Our friend, Gene did some outdoor shots of the three of us and some of her. She did great. At one point she just lit up and had some great smiles. I look forward to seeing them. It was bit chilly that morning but turned out quite nice.
Sunday we went to church as a family. Eliana did great again. She had dozed off on the way and we thought she would stay asleep. But when Rev. Ferguson started to talk her eyes popped wide open. She was fine in her carrier but Craig took her out to get her out and she went back to sleep. We were amazed at how many older ladies wanted and DID touch her even when asleep. You of all people should know not to touch a baby when asleep! But she tolerated everything very well.
Tuesday I went back to work for my one morning a week. Joanna kept Eliana at her house. Again, she did great. I was not anxious about leaving her. I thought I would be but I trust Joanna completely. I would not have been able to do it if I left her with a bunch of kids at a daycare. I guess you have to adjust to that.
