Yellow Jackets, Oh My!
Our family had a nice weekend. Friday night started off with dinner with our friends, Andy and Joanna. Always good and refreshing to see them. We ordered pizza and played Guitar Hero. Okay, Craig and Joanna played. I stink at the game and that is the nice way to put it. Apparantly I am not coordinated. Joanna picked it up easily.
Saturday we decided to go work on the lot for a couple of hours. Craig had to finish up cutting up the tree that we took down several months ago. I stayed in the car or strolled Eliana around for a while. Craig also decided to cut the front part. All of a sudden Craig went running and swatting at his legs. He had gotten into a yellow jacket nest and was stung once on the knee. He is lucky that is all he was stung. I am glad he is not allergice because I would had been clueless. But the front part does look nicer and cleaner.
After an afternoon nap, we went to the Foothills Fall Festival. It was not bad. There were many vendors selling their “stuff”. Also known as there handmand crafts. I just don’t see what you do with the stuff. There were painted turkey feathers, scroll saw carved pieces or wood, balls of yarn to look like a wreath. Just not me. They also had a huge kids area. We did not go to any of the concerts this year. I am sure they were good.
Eliana did great in church and last the whole time in the sanctuary. She did great again.
