Proverbs 4:23-27

My bible study this morning took me to Proverbs 4:23. In my Bible I had underlined these verses several years ago. As I have been doing this study and flipping through the pages of my bible I see many verses that I have underlined and regrettfully forgotten about them. It has been a joy to revisit so many of them and remember the time in my life it had spoken to me.

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
